Before I landed on This Island Mirth, I kicked around a bunch of other ideas for how to name (and theme) this site. There were a handful of other obscure pop culture references, some attempts to do make something interesting with a more exotic TLD extension, and metric shit-ton of one or two word titles whose .com extensions were all already taken.

I can’t imagine this is of much interest to anyone other than me, but that’s kind of the whole ethos of this whole project. For better or worse, I’m committing to the retro sci-fi/space clown thing. Let’s hope for the best.
